Zusammenfassung
Neben dem Öffnen und Schließen von Stromkreisen ist die Stromführung bei geschlossenen Kontaktstücken eine wichtige Aufgabe für elektrische Kontakte. Der Stromfluss erfolgt dabei i.d.R. über eine Vielzahl kleiner Berührungsflächen, den sog, a-spots. Die Stromübergang sollte dabei verlustarm und die übertragung elektrischer Signale mÖglichst verzerrungsfrei ablaufen. Durch die Einengung der Stromlinien in den Berührungsflächen entsteht der Kontaktwiderstand, der mÖglichst klein und zeitlich weitgehend konstant sein sollte. Aufgrund der Einwirkung schadstoffhaltiger Umgebungsatmosphären, Staub- oder Abriebprodukte kÖnnen Fremdschichten oder Fremdschichtinseln entstehen, die einen weiteren Widerstandsanstieg verursachen. Bei hohen StrÖmen kann die Wärmeerzeugung so groß sein, dass das Kontaktmaterial im Bereich der Berührungsflächen aufschmilzt und so temporäre oder bleibende Verschweißungen auftreten, die u.U. zu einem Geräteausfall führen. Im vorliegenden Kapitel werden u.a. die verschiedenen Theorien zur rechnerischen Erfassung des Kontaktwiderstandes dargestellt. Daneben werden das Schweißverhalten der verschiedenen Kontaktwerkstoffe und das Fritten, d.h. die thermo-elektrische ZerstÖrung von Fremdschichten, beschrieben.
