Zusammenfassung
Der Film spielt Anfang der 1930er-Jahre inmitten der Wirtschaftskrise nach dem Vorbild des realen Bankräuberpaars mit gleichem Namen (Abb. 7.1). Die junge gelangweilte Kleinstadtkellnerin Bonnie Parker trifft auf den kürzlich aus der Haft entlassenen Kleinkriminellen Clyde Barrow. Die beiden verlieben sich, brechen gemeinsam auf, überfallen Banken in den ganzen Südstaaten und stehlen (Flucht-) Autos. Aber das Paar hat keinen Sex: Clyde sagt, er sei unfähig dazu.
