Zusammenfassung
Organisationsforschung ist international, interdisziplinär und extrem facettenreich, so wie es auch die betrachteten Organisationen selbst sind. Die Umsetzung ihrer Erkenntnisse in die Praxis, die von den BMBF-geförderten Projekten erwartet wird, geschieht meist durch Beratung, aber wie das möglich ist, dazu gibt es verschiedene Auffassungen. Im Folgenden wird daher zuerst eine Klärung dieser Auffassungen vorgenommen und mit einem Beispiel verdeutlicht. Anschließend werden die Grundlagen für Verstehen, Verständigung und Zusammenarbeit dargelegt, auf die Beratungen ebenso wie die beratene Praxis angewiesen sind, weil ohne sie Misserfolge vorprogrammiert sind. Beratung und Praxis benötigen auch ein wissenschaftlich bewährtes und praktisch tragfähiges Grundverständnis von Organisationen, das im dritten Abschnitt skizziert wird. Ein besonderer Augenmerk wird dabei auf die Frage gelegt, wie durch Beratung das Wissen in der Praxis erweitert werden kann und vor allem, wie den Organisationen geholfen werden kann selbst besseres Wissen zu generieren. Zum Abschluss werden einige Hinweise gegeben, wie wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse im Beratungsprozess eingesetzt und daraus gewonnen werden können.
