Auf Basis des Metamodells, der Erläuterung der Objekte und bestehender Ansätze erfolgt nun die Entwicklung des Vorgehensmodells der Geschäftsmodell-Innovation; somit wird das Vorgehen mit entsprechenden Ergebnissen im Großen (Was wird getan?) dargestellt.

Ein Geschäftsmodell, dessen Reichweite z. B. mit bestehenden Partnern erhöht werden kann, bedarf keiner gesonderten Geschäftsmodell-Entwicklung, sondern der Geschäftsmodell-Implementierung.
