Zusammenfassung
Malnutrition ist ein Missverhältnis zwischen Nahrungsbedarf und zugeführter Nahrungsmenge ( umfasst also sowohl Über- als auch Untergewicht). In aller Regel wird Malnutrition aber mit Mangelernährung gleichgesetzt. Besonders ältere Menschen mit Dysphagie sind von Malnutrition und deren Folgen bedroht. In diesem Kapitel wird beschrieben, welche Ursachen in Frage kommen, wie die Diagnose rechtzeitig gestellt werden kann und welche therapeutischen Interventionen es gibt.
