Zusammenfassung
Das Fach Anästhesiologie war innerhalb der Medizin Vorreiter in der Entwicklung moderner Simulatoren und in der Etablierung von Simulator basierten Ausbildungskonzepten. So wurde in den späten 1960er Jahren bereits ein High-Fidelity-Patientensimulator entwickelt, an dem sehr realitätsnah anästhesiologische Szenarien dargestellt werden konnten [1]. In den folgenden vier Dekaden wurden die Simulatoren technisch stets weiterentwickelt und immer mehr Simulatorzentren etabliert. Mittlerweile sind nicht nur an universitären Einrichtungen, sondern auch an Lehrkrankenhäusern und Bildungseinrichtungen wie beispielsweise Rettungsdienstschulen Simulatorzentren etabliert. Das folgende Kapitel soll einen Überblick über die verfügbare Technik und die in der Anästhesie etablierten Curricula geben.
