Zusammenfassung
Die effektive Motorleistung P e eines Verbrennungsmotors ergibt sich gem. Gl. \({{P}_{e}}={{\dot{m}}_{B}}\cdot {{H}_{u}}\cdot {{\eta }_{e}}\) aus dem zugeführten Kraftstoffmassenstrom \({{\dot{m}}_{B}}\), dem Heizwert H u des Kraftstoffs und dem effektiven Wirkungsgrad η e . Das Produkt \({{\dot{m}}_{B}}\cdot {{H}_{u}}\) entspricht dem bei vollständiger Verbrennung freigesetzten Verbrennungswärmestrom und damit der zugeführten Kraftstoffleistung, welche mit dem Wirkungsgrad η e in mechanische Leistung umgewandelt und an der Kupplung des Motors abgegeben wird. Zur Verbrennung der Kraftstoffmasse m B je Zylinder und Arbeitsspiel ist, je nach vorliegendem Verbrennungsverfahren des Motors, ein bestimmter Luftmassenstrom \({{\dot{m}}_{LZ}}\) bzw. eine bestimmte Luftmasse m LZ je Zylinder und Arbeitsspiel erforderlich. Dieser Zusammenhang kommt im Verbrennungsluftverhältnis \( {{\lambda }_{V}}=\frac{{{m}_{LZ}}}{{{L}_{\min }}\cdot {{m}_{B}}}=\frac{{{{\dot{m}}}_{LZ}}}{{{L}_{\min }}\cdot {{{\dot{m}}}_{B}}} \) zum Ausdruck, mit L min als dem Mindestluftbedarf des Kraftstoffs.
