Zusammenfassung
Traditionell herrscht die Auffassung eines Gesellschaftsmodells von drei Sektoren vor: Staat, Wirtschaft und Zivilgesellschaft. Jedem dieser Sektoren wird eine bestimmte Rolle zugeschrieben. Der öffentliche Sektor war bisher für die Erstellung von und die Versorgung mit öffentlichen Gütern zuständig, z.B. Bildung, soziale Sicherheit und Gesundheit. Unternehmen erzeugen private Güter und handeln diese auf Wettbewerbsmärkten. Die Zivilgesellschaft fungiert als ‚Schmiermittel‘ des gesellschaftlichen Lebens in Form von lokalen Vereinen, Zusammenschlüssen und verschiedenen Interessensgruppen. Diese ‚traditionelle‘ Rollenverteilung befindet sich im Wandel, die Grenzen zwischen den Sektoren scheinen immer mehr zu verschwimmen – auch wenn die These von der „Politisierung“ von Unternehmen teilweise übertrieben scheint.
