Zusammenfassung
Die Distributionslogistik stellt das Bindeglied zwischen der Produktion und der Absatzseite des Unternehmens dar. Sie umfasst alle Lager- und Transportvorgänge von Waren zum Abnehmer sowie die damit verbundenen Informations-, Steuerungs- und Kontrolltätigkeiten. Das Ziel der Distributionslogistik ist die Lieferung der richtigen Waren zum richtigen Zeitpunkt, am richtigen Ort, mit der richtigen Qualität bei gleichzeitigem, optimalen Verhältnis zwischen Lieferservice und anfallenden Kosten (Schulte C 1999, S. 371ff).
