Zusammenfassung

Sexueller Missbrauch ist mit großem individuellem Leid verbunden und stellt ein ernstes Problem für die Gesellschaft und das Gesundheitswesen dar (▸ Kap. 19 u. 20). Erfreulicherweise haben sich viele Arbeitsgruppen mit den psychologischen Folgen sexuellen Missbrauchs befasst und wirksame Behandlungsformen für die Opfer entwickelt. Dieses Kapitel stellt die kognitiven Verarbeitungstherapie (»Cognitive Processing Therapy«, CPT) vor, die für erwachsene Opfer sexuellen Missbrauchs und anderer Traumata entwickelt wurde. Diese ist auf Englisch in mehreren Publikationen beschrieben worden (Resick & Schnicke, 1992; 1993; Resick, Monson & Chard, 2007 1).
