Zusammenfassung
Eine der großen Neuerungen, die die junge Disziplin Gesundheitspsychologie in die bereits etablierte Psychologie einbrachte, ist ein Wechsel bzw. eine Erweiterung der Perspektiven: es werden nicht mehr ausschließlich Risikofaktoren untersucht, die zu Krankheiten und Störungen beitragen können, sondern es wird nach Faktoren und psychischen Prozessen gesucht, die mit dazu beitragen, dass Menschen körperlich und psychisch trotz auf sie einströmender Belastungen gesund bleiben.
