The identification of the core processes of a company is followed by the collection of detailed data related to these processes and an analysis of the currently performed processes. This information is the basis for identifying shortcomings and for recognizing potential improvements. For example, shortcomings, such as organizational interfaces along a process or insufficient IT usage, can be detected.
