Für Karl Marx ist Arbeit bekanntlich einer der Grundbegriffe seiner Philosophie. Arbeit ist für ihn nicht nur eine wirtschaftliche, sondern eine menschliche Tätigkeit. Sie ist eine Universalkategorie der menschlichen Existenz und ist als solche unabhängig von spezifischen sozialen und ökonomischen Formen.
