Abstract
The organization this article is focussing is the association of the municipal preschools of Reggio Emilia in Northern Italy. The article is a case study of the history — or at least parts of the history — of this organization and it looks at this organization’s history as an organizational learning process. Therefore it is necessary to state the theoretical categories of learning and especially of organizational learning before exposing and interpreting the case.
