Auszug
Wenn man den Diskurs über Globalisierung verfolgt, fällt sofort ins Auge, class Globalisierung heute vor allem als eine neue Form sozialer Vergemeinschaftung und Vergesellschaftung diskutiert wird. Dabei umrahmen Konzepte wie Konnektivität und ein Verständnis von Gesellschaft als Netzwerk diese Diskussion, während Themen wie die ökonomische Dimension von Globalisierung oder die Probleme kultureller Hegemonie weitgehend verschwunden sind. Insofern stellen sich unmittelbar zwei Fragen: Sind diese Konzepte ausreichend, um eine Theorie der Globalisierung zu begründen? Und wenn nicht: Was muss man tun, um die theoretischen Annäherungen überzeugender zu machen?
