Zusammenfassung
Die Studie zeigt, dass sich die Volksschul- und Privatschuleltern in persönlichen, soziokulturellen als auch sozioökonomischen Belangen signifikant unterscheiden – dies trotz einer gewissen Nivellierung als Folge einer Verzerrung der Stichprobe. Idealtypisch sind Privatschuleltern international mobile Ausländer mit einem überdurchschnittlich hohen sozioökonomischen Status. Die deutlichen Unterschiede in den Charakteristiken der beiden Elterngruppen stützen die These einer fortschreitenden Segregation.
