Zussamenfassung
Als ›Industrial‹ bezeichnet man ein Genre der experimentellen elektronischen Musik, das mit Elementen der Grenzüberschreitung auf den Ebenen der Klangwelt und der inhaltlichen Thematik arbeitet. Der Begriff geht auf eine Aussage des Musikers Monte Cazzaza Ende der 1970er Jahre zurück, man wolle »Industrial Music for Industrial People« komponieren (zit. nach Juno/Vale 1983, 9 f.).
