Zussamenfassung
Wilhelm Raabe ist einer derjenigen »Autoren der Weltliteratur« (Mojem 1994, 1), die in ihren Texten in besonders großem Umfang und bei besonders großer »Variationsbreite« (Denkler 1989, 189) mit Zitaten, Applikationen, Anspielungen und intertextuellen Verweisen jeglicher Art arbeiten. Scharrer (1927, 28) zählt 134 Schiller-Stellen im Werk Raabes, die insgesamt 188 Mal zitiert werden, wobei die Dramen und die Lyrik – auch jenseits der Balladen – besonders häufig anzutreffen sind (vgl. Jensch 1925, 23–27), was durchaus zeittypisch ist.
