Zusammenfassung
Meteorhaft tauchte Friedrich Dürrenmatt 1946 in der Schweizer Literaturszene auf. Erfolglos hatte sich davor sein Freund und Mentor, der Altphilologe und Gymnasiallehrer Eduard Wyss, ein Patensohn seines Vaters Reinhold Dürrenmatt, in Zürich um einen Verlag für seine Prosa bemüht: »Ich stieß an eine Wand, das Nein zu dieser Kunst war deutlich« (Rüedi 2011, 213). Aber auf dem Intendantenpult von Kurt Horwitz, Direktor das Stadttheaters Basel, entdeckte Peter Lotar, Dramaturg im Kurt Reiss Verlag, nach Dürrenmatts Umzug nach Basel dessen Stück Es steht geschrieben.
