Zusammenfassung
Die Messung der Produktdiversifikation und geographischen Diversifikation kann mit Hilfe von quantitativen und diskret-kategorialen Ansätzen erfolgen. Quantitative Diversifikationsmaße versuchen, Unternehmensdiversifikation durch Zählen der Segmente (Produkte, Branchen, Regionen) eines Unternehmens oder unter Berücksichtigung der relativen Bedeutung der einzelnen Segmente zu messen. Im Gegensatz dazu wird mit diskret-kategorialen Ansätzen versucht, nicht nur rein quantitative Aspekte sondern auch qualitative Produkt-Markt-Gesichtspunkte zu erfassen1.
