Zusammenfassung
Die Bayer AG wurde nach dem 2. Weltkrieg gegründet. Sie ist neben der Hoechst AG und der BASF AG aus dem IG Farbenkonzern hervorgegangen. Bayer ist der drittgrößte Chemiekonzern der Welt. Mit 179.000 Beschäftigten wurde 1983 DM 37.3 Mrd. Umsatz erwirtschaftet. 77% des Umsatzes entfallen auf das Ausland. Tätigkeitsschwerpunkte von Bayer sind die Herstellung von Chemikalien, Farben, Kunststoffen, Fasern, Pharmazeutischen Artikeln und Pflanzenschutzmitteln.
