Abstract

This article describes the topic of warehouse designing with using computer simulation tools. In the introduction of article is described digital factory itself and future of digitalization. The core of article includes description of methodology of warehouse designing with using tools of the digital factory. Any disturbance effects, non-delivery of goods, problems with logistics, problems with suppliers, etc., disturb the activity of a warehouse system and as a result creates situation which are hardly estimable occur. In third chapter is on a specific example described how to use computer simulation to optimize warehouse management. The main task of this example was to find out when such storing system starts failing. For this example, were designed experiments by which is it possible to find solution of problems emerging during picking of goods. The conclusion points out benefits of this methodology for practice. This way of data processing is not only safe, but it is also a good presentation tool which can be used anywhere.
