Abstract
The article is devoted to one of the most topical problems of modern times – establishment of information economy under the influence of scientific and technical progress. Establishment of information economy is a complex historical process, which is implemented in the conditions of transition to a new type of economy. Special emphasis is made on change of technological modes with change of the information environment and evolution of the theory of information. The perspectives of information economy development are studied.
