Zusammenfassung
Wird in der → Prozeßorientierten Gesprächspsychotherapie (Swildens, 1991), einer Variante der → Klientenzentrierten Psychotherapie, gebraucht, um das Abweisen von Verantwortung und damit auch von Schuld deutlich zu machen. Diese Tendenz kommt besonders angesichts versäumter Selbstaktualisierung und existentiellen Versagens zur Geltung. Manchmal wird dieses Alibi-Erleben als Begründung dafür benützt, wesentliche Schritte in Richtung Selbstbestimmung und Selbstaktualisierung zu unterlassen. Auch von Alibi-Strukturen kann man sagen, daß sie durch → Abwehrmechanismen und unbewußte Motive mitbestimmt werden. In diesem phänomenologischen Kontext (→ Phänomenologie) sind solche unbewußten Motive jedoch nicht relevant.
