Abstract

On the occasion of our contribution to the iCP CONSEQUENCE exhibition series, we decided to deal with the peculiar spatial characteristics of the given space. The basic idea was, to split the buildings interior space by inserting a wall, that would create a number of different realities. We wanted this wall to look like a façade, that was either to be experienced at a standstill in the galleries central atrium over the full building hight or steadily as one walks along any of the exhibition floors ‘in front’ of the construction. The impression of being either inside or outside of a supposed building was emphasised by having a smooth wall finish on one and its construction exposed on the other side.
