Zusammenfassung
Perennierende, carnivore Kräuter mit oft rosettig gehäuften Blättern mit sensiblen Emergenzen (Tentakel von Drosera) oder Blattabschnitten (z.B. Dionaea) und meist mit Nebenblättern. Blüten regelmässig und zwittrig, einzeln oder in verschieden gestalteten Blütenständen, mit 4–5 Kelch-, 4–5 Krön- und 4–20 Staubblättern und oberständigem, einfächerigem Fruchtknoten mit wandständigen Plazenten. Früchte Kapseln. Samen mit Endosperm.
