Abstract
We devote this chapter to the study of the following multi-field system:
which will be called the Belov-Chaltikian lattice. It may be considered as a reduction of the multi-field analog of the relativistic Toda lattice \( RTL_{m + 1}^{\left( + \right)}\left( \alpha \right)\), so that many results may be readily formulated as transcription of the statements of the previous chapter. In Section14.2 we give a transcription of the previously obtained results concerning the bi-Hamiltonian nature of the system (14.1.1) and its Lax representation, and in Section 14.3 – of those results concerning the integrablediscretization of (14.1.1), including the localizing change of variables. In particular, the local discretization is governed by the following equations of motion:
