Abstract

Hybrid systems are systems described by discrete as well as continuous variables. Indeed, many real-world applications present such a hybrid dynamics. Moreover, many of our interactions with the world involve us performing actions that initiate, terminate, control, or simply avoid continuous processes, and those scenarios are very common particularly in robotics or embedded systems. Processes can be seen as flows (of heat, energy, liquids, gases, traffic, money, information, etc.).
