Abstract

The most basic function levels of new product development, that is, Research & Development function, manufacturing function, market function, logistics function, which implementation quality to stages of NPD dramatically affect the results of NPD. The paper quantitatively studies the importance of development function to four development stages through questionnaire survey, and explores the critical activities in different development stages. Research results will help companies to identify major concerns in each stage in NPD management.
