Abstract
Because of the advancement of science and technology, the application of computer technology has gradually increased. Computers can be used in traditional industrial production. They can increase the rate of industrial production and ensure product quality. They can also be used in teaching, so that students can have a better and systematic understanding of knowledge. “Yeong Guan Cup” Casting Process Design Competition is organized by Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and other institutions. It aims to encourage students to use the casting expertise they have learned to solve casting problems encountered in production, and to improve their practical and independent learning capabilities. The teachers of the colleges participate in the casting competition based on the course design of material forming and control. The casting competition not only requires an excellent casting process design plan, but also needs computer simulation to verify the results. Computer simulation has played an important role in verifying whether the process plan is reasonable. In recent years, computer simulation casting technique has also made some developments.
