Abstract
This chapter combines the findings of Chapters 3 and 4 to produce a language comprehensive competitiveness profile of Chinese. It categorises the components of language comprehensive competitiveness into strengths, weaknesses and intermediates. Geostrategic competitiveness, population competitiveness and economic competitiveness are strengths in the language comprehensive competitiveness profile of Chinese, while script competitiveness and scientific/technological competitiveness are weaknesses. Policy competitiveness, cultural competitiveness and educational competitiveness are neither clear strengths nor outright weaknesses and are therefore intermediates in the language comprehensive competitiveness profile of Chinese.
