Abstract

In the process of technological development, the emergence of Building Information Modeling (hereinafter referred to as BIM) has further improved the informatization level of the construction industry. This paper mainly studies the construction cost application system based on BIM cloud data processing. This research summarizes the current status of the development and application of BIM software at home and abroad, as well as the concept and characteristics of BIM technology, by expounding the specific concept, content and application of construction cost management of construction projects. In addition, it also summarizes the current status of construction cost management of traditional construction projects, as well as the problems and causes of construction costs in the traditional project management process. The application of BIM technology in the construction phase is preliminarily summarized, especially the application value in construction cost, so that there is a certain theoretical foundation and in-depth understanding of the application of BIM technology in construction cost of engineering projects. Research shows that the cloud data model is a simplified point cloud model when the compression rate is 41.6%, 32.6%, 41.9%, and 51.2% when the threshold parameters are 0.02 m, 0.04 m, 0.06 m, and 0.08 m, respectively. When the threshold of the distance from the point to the fitted surface is selected as 0.06 m, the compression effect of the BIM algorithm is the best.
