Abstract

Historically, CSR in Russia is embedded in the socialist welfare system of the late Soviet Union and the total denial of activities generating no direct profit in the 90s. The present situation is characterized by high inequalities, low future orientation as well as high power distance. The society expects the state and entrepreneurs personally to contribute to solving social problems. Introduction of CSR is headed by large companies motivated by the domestic government and global partnerships. CSR-related parts of websites of the 10 largest Russian employers are analyzed in this chapter. The results of questioning of Russian bachelor and master students are compared to the global data.
