Abstract
The concept of evidence is implied by distinct kinds of cognitive and reasoning processes carried out in ordinary experience or in specialized domains of knowledge, like science, philosophy, logic and mathematics. In ordinary experience, the contexts and the activities that involve it are many and varied. From the variety of entities that counts as evidence and their use, the theoretical account of evidence retains its epistemological sense for what can be considered justified, reliable, correct or even true knowledge.
