Healthcare and Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

For several years the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) has been engaged in the digitization of data to offer its professionals and patients the most efficient and innovative services. This change is based in part on the overhaul and sharing of its administrative, financial, and medical information systems (in particular, the deployment of a single Electronic Healthcare Record or EHR containing all the medical data produced during hospitalizations and consultations in the 39 AP-HP facilities). The ability to uniquely identify patients and track their hospital journey over time has enabled AP-HP to build a centralized Clinical Data Warehouse (CDW) that collects medical, administrative, and social data from more than 11 million patients.
