Abstract

Testing is a critical part of every development process and its automatic execution can reduce the development time and also shorten the time to market. While within the software development the automated test execution belongs to standard procedures, the development of embedded devices suffers from the lack of external mechanical devices (actuators/sensors) which can be used instead of human operator. This paper deals with the design of an industrial test stand for automatic testing of embedded electronics. The software for tests execution uses National Instruments LabVIEW environment to control the custom developed hardware which can emulate human behavior during testing procedures execution.
