Abstract

Topical issues in the Russian construction industry include energy saving, environmental pollution with construction waste, industrial safety of construction workers, reliability of the newly-erected construction system. Whereas the quality of finishing, construction machinery fleet and the applied technologies have currently reached international level, the issues of own development and introduction of energy saving and resource saving technological practices and corresponding equipment into production remain unsolved. The problem of constantly increasing energy consumption and volume of construction waste is steadily gaining topicality. A characteristic feature of the said issues is the covert nature of economic benefit from saving on environmental payments, as well as enhancement of competitiveness due to the creation of goodwill. It is necessary to bring the said hidden potential to light in order to provide an incentive for the developers to solve these issues, which will also enhance their competitiveness by means of the same covert factors.
