Abstract
The paper considers the problems of digital in-process models’ (DIPM) of parts of aircraft structures development. The aircraft preproduction process is overviewed and the place of the design models and DIMs is described. DIMs development is based upon the design models, yet the design model is given without the design history in a form of associated copy or the exchange file. The design methodology of the models is proposed. Its software implementation in form of an application for the CAD platform is discussed.
