Prise en charge de l’hypertrophie bénigne de la prostate chez les sujets âgés fragiles

Abstrait

L’hypertrophie bénigne de la prostate (HBP) se définit anatomiquement par une augmentation de taille de la prostate non due à un cancer et histologiquement par une hyperplasie de la zone transitionnelle de la prostate. Quand elle devient symptomatique, elle peut entraîner des symptämes dits irritatifs (pollakiurie, impériosité mictionnelle) et/ou obstructifs (dysurie, diminution du jet) regroupés sous la terminologie de TUBA (troubles urinaires du bas appareil). Cependant, il n’y a pas de parallélisme anatomo-clinique entre la sévérité des symptämes précités et le volume de l’H.B.P.
