Abstract
Actifed-C Expectorant is used in both wet and dry coughs and is effective in both infectious and allergic conditions. It may be particularly useful in the coughing, wheezing stage of respiratory allergies. Guaifenesin reduces the viscosity of the secretions, thereby increasing the efficiency of the cough reflex and the ciliary action in removing accumulated secretions from the trachea and bronchi. Codeine is an effective cough suppressant. (See ACTIFED).
