Abstract
In Chapters 1–9, experimental procedures and theoretical analyses of the monomolecular films of amphiphiles and biopolymers have been delineated. In this final chapter, the application of such studies to industrial and biological systems is outlined. The data on such applied examples in the current literature are so vast that it would be impossible to cover the whole area in the space available here. Therefore, this chapter discusses only some typical but important examples, which should allow any future investigator to devise further related monolayer studies as needed.
