Abstract
Agta hunting technology ranks with those of the renowned Arctic Inuit and European Upper Palaeolithic traditions. The projectile points of animal killing systems combine the engineering sophistication of the Inuit gear and the élan of style found in the points of the Solutrean and Magdalenian. This, coming from a humid tropics foraging society and a region long considered technologically simple, heightens our interest in understanding the technology, most elaborated in its arrowheads, and the human behavior inherent in the technology.
