Research on Interactive Staff Training

Abstract

Faculty at the University of Chicago Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation have begun to study many of the principles that support interactive staff training (IST). Some of these investigations have examined selected assumptions of IST by assessing a variety of domains. Other studies have explored the effects of IST on staff and consumers using the design strategies reviewed in Chapter 7. We have also drawn on a variety of other research approaches to address relevant questions, including simple correlation matrices, cross-lagged panel designs, path analyses, within-group differences over time, and time series analyses. Interesting findings from these studies are reported in this chapter.
