Abstract
This chapter is not a comprehensive account of diverse viewpoints on causality in physics. Our discussion hinges on a particular way of looking at this issue. Within this chosen perspective we first analyze the meaning of causality in classical (prequantum) physics, including special and general relativity. We then attempt to clarify certain aspects of causality in quantum mechanics by taking into account our present understanding of its foundational problems.
