Abstract
Adolescence is a critical developmental phase for the onset and recognition of psychiatric disorders including psychoactive substance use disorders (PSUDs). The co-occurrence of PSUDs with other psychiatric disorders has been termed a “dual diagnosis” (DD), and the patients so diagnosed have been defined as “dually diagnosed” (DUDI).
