Abstract
In this research, we work on image sequences of the YUV format. The YUV coordinate system is adopted in the PAL and SECAM color television systems which are used in many countries. It consists of the luminance Y and two color components U and V as defined below [57]:
where B N and R N are intensities of the blue and red colors, respectively. Each of the three coordinates is represented with 8 bits so that there are 256 grey levels for each coordinate.
