Abstract
A paper given by Rolfe (1976) at the conference on “Monitoring Behaviour and Supervisory Control” in almost all details expresses my own point of view of the problem of assessing workload, as far as he went. But there are some additional points and comments which I would like to stress as a member of the “physiological group” of the present conference.
