Abstract
With the use of two-dimensional (2D) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments (Aue et al., 1976; Bax, 1982), the potentialities of NMR for studies of biopolymers can be greatly enhanced. This paper describes 2D NMR experiments which are commonly used for work with proteins and nucleic acids. To familiarize the reader with the subject, 2D NMR is first compared with conventional one-dimensional (1D) experiments.
