Abstract
MR Imaging is a complex technique and the simple working rules necessary to begin with may not be valid when extrapolated outside their original context.
Increasing experience also may lead to modification of clinical practice. An active process of reassessment of the explicit and implicit working rules current in MRI is a necessary process and in this paper effects of magnetic field strength, the comparative value of spin and field echo, and aspects of sequence comparison are discussed.
