Abstract
It has been reported that the incidence of congenital dislocation of the hip-joint (LCC) amongst the Japanese is comparatively high with respect to other world nations. For the purpose of quick and better cure of this disease, early diagnosis at an early age is needed. X-ray mass surveys for LCC are the most reliable diagnostic method and are widely used in Japan. A bottleneck in this method should be recognized and removed, namely, (1) saving the labor of radiologists, (2) establishment of diagnostic standards and (3) reduction of x-ray dose to the gonads.
